Real Defeats San Jose 4 - 0 Real San Juan looked sharp in their 4 - 0 win over San Jose Sunday at Southside. In his return to Real this season, Alexis Maurtua made an immediate impact intiating the first goal with a perfectly weighted pass to Ruben Mora on the right flank. Mora crossed the ball to a wide open Pat Nelle who headed the ball in for Real's first goal. Real's second goal was definitely CCSL "Goal of the Week" material. Alvaro Delgado crossed a ball from the left side to a diving Ruben Mora. Mora's game perfectly timed diving header caught the ball off the first bounce and floated gently over the San Jose goalkeeper. See the attached pictures to view an action photo of this goal. Pat Nelle made the score 3 - 0 when he headed his second goal from a cross by Curtis Holmes. The fourth and final goal was a result of some great combination play from Jimmy Frazelle and Anthony Chimienti. After a combination in the right corner, Anthony Chimienti laid the ball back for a nice finish by Ruben Mora. Real's defense held tight for a clean sheet despite having to play one man down after a red card forced center back Brent Hamilton to sit out the last 10 minutes of the game. Real remains in second place behind Aguias PSC with a couple games in hand. Next Sunday Real faces an upgraded California Lions team at 1:00 at Southside Park.
