Real defeats Dixon Leon 2 - 0
In a game between two of the top teams in the CCSL, Real came out victorious over Dixon Leon by a score of 2-0 and moved into second place. Unlike its most recent starts, Real started the game on a faster note creating a number of scoring opporunities early in the game. It wasn't until halfway through the first half that Real finally converted one of it's shots. Sean-Michael Callahan dummied a header that was cleared out of the back line by Dixon, leaving it for Sean Buchanan. Buchanan volleyed his shot off a bounce as the Dixon keeper dove towards the dipping shot but wasn't able to save it. The half ended 1-0 with Real controlling most of the half. Real started the second half on the attack and didn't give up much defensively.
Real sealed the game when Pat Nelle received a pass from Jimmy Frazelle into the space and ripped a right footed shot across the goal into the upper vector from 20 yards out. Goal Keeper Conor McNulty and the Real back line (Tim Bystrowski, Marcos Mercado, Brent Hamilton, Kenyon Hill and Curtis Holmes) kept everything clean to earn the shutout. Real's next opponent will be San Jose who downed Cruz Azul this week by the score of 2-0.
