Real San Juan appeared to start clicking again last weekend by taking care of a revamped Academica side. After a slow start to the game, Real got on the board when Jimmy Frazelle sent a lead pass to Kenyon Hill who made a run up the left line and delivered a pin point cross to Patrick Nelle for an easy tap in volley in front of the goal. Minutes after the first goal, Alvaro Delgado ripped a left footed shot into the opposite corner of the goal after a dish off from Frazelle just inside the left side of the 18 yard line.
The second half started off rather slow again with Academica getting a couple of close chances but both Real keepers, Conor McNulty and Matt McDougal made a few big saves to record the clean sheet. It wasn't until the later in the half that Anthony Chimienti found a flick on from a keeper punt and finished a breakaway to open up the lead. Moments later, Frazelle found the back of the net to seal the victory at 4-0. Next week promises to be an exciting challenge as Real faces a tough Sporting team at Southside park at 2pm.
