Real Rolls to a 6 - 0 Victory Over CD Lobos (Click to Read More)
Real erupted for three goals in each half to defeat CD Lobos 6 - 0. Although Real was able to score six goals, stretches of the game were slow and uneventful. Without the luxury of substitutes, CD Lobos seemed content to defend and try to keep the score respectable. Real only needed fifteen minutes to score their first goal. Alvaro Delgado hit a left-footed shot from the left side of the penalty box to beat the keeper near post to make the score 1 - 0. Three minutes later Patrick Nelle burst through the CD Lobos defense with only the keeper to beat. The CD Lobos keeper made a good reaction save only to have an opportunistic Jimmy Frazelle tap the rebound in for the second Real goal. In the thirtieth minute, Jacob Lile scored his first goal for Real when his shot to the far post slipped through the CD Lobos keeper's hands and into the goal to increase the Real lead to 3 - 0.

Real Defeates Academica 4 - 0 (Click to Read More)
Real defeated Academica of Turlock 4 - 0 at Southside Park last Sunday, March 18th. Typical of an early morning game after St. Patrick's Day, the level of play in the first half was erratic. Real possessed well out of the back, but failed to penetrate Academica's defense early on. Academica looked to spring its speedy and hard-working forwards in the counterattack. After several dangerous runs by the Academica forwards, the Real defense of goalkeeper Conor McNulty and defenders Kyle Navarro, Marcos Mercado, Brent Hamilton, Hector Gutierrez and Kenyon Hill were able to contain the Academica offense to maintain the clean sheet. Due to injuries to Patrick Nelle and Ryan Rhoads, sixteen year old Chris Gaschen took full advantage of his opportunity to enter the starting line up and play ninety minutes.
