Real San Juan maintained its long unbeaten streak by defeating newly-promoted side Santa Rosa 3-0 at Southside and remained on top of the CCSL table on 12 points.
Santa Rosa came into the season with high expectations after winning the First Division last year and with added firepower this year, they remained many people’s sleeper team. Led by former Cruz Azul player/coach Jorge Fernandez, the Santa Rosa side play possession football, much like RSJ.

Real San Juan needed some last minute heroics from AJ and Rashid Utush to remain undefeated in CCSL Premier League play. At kick-off, RSJ started with only newly signed goalkeeper John Tozer on the subsitutes' bench. The backline consisted of Utodi Madu, AJ Utush, Alexis Maurtua and Todd Simmons. Eliot Ricks-Chambers, Hugo Brambilla, Rashid Utush, and Chris Gaschen started in the midfield with Jimmy Frazelle and Pat Nelle up top.

Many of the stars who grace Southside Park on a weekly basis combined to take the Open Division at the SASL Gold Cup this past weekend, defeating Young Guns from Woodland 3-0 in the Final. Coming into the tournament as co-favorites with defending champions El Salvador, the team, named Arsenal after the team that plays in the Folsom League on Saturdays, was made up of players mostly from Casa Sporting, Real San Juan and Cruz Azul.
