Chimienti Helps Lead U.S. to Beach Soccer World CupCurrent Real San Juan striker Anthony “Mario” Chimienti is one of the key figures in the U.S. National Beach Soccer team scheduled to begin tournament play in Rio De Janiero, Brasil, beginning this weekend.Chimienti, who also featured in the 2006 version of the Cup, helped the U.S. defeat Mexico 5-4 in the CONCACAF Final, scoring the first goal, to qualify first in the region. The United States now finds itself in Group B with Portugal, Iran and Spain. Chimienti, a graduate of Santa Clara University, has featured in RSJ first couple games of the season, scoring goals in the process. The Beach Soccer World Cup runs from November 2-11.
